Position: Desk Engineer – Operations  

Location: Ratnagiri  

Plant Capacity: 3 x 400 MW (Total 1200 MW)  

Qualification:  

BE/BTech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering  

Experience:  

6 to 8 years  

Preferred Background:  

Power Industry / Thermal Power Plant

Key Responsibilities:  

• Operate units safely and systematically from the Control Room as per SOPs  

• Handle start-up, shutdown, and emergency operations  

• Monitor operating parameters to optimize efficiency, PLF, APC, heat rate, and availability  

• Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, PTW, LOTO, and ISO systems  

• Detect abnormalities early and raise SAP notifications  

• Maintain accurate records: logbooks, checklists, PTW registers, startup/shutdown logs  

• Coordinate with field engineers during normal and emergency operations  

• Report incidents and near-misses; support RCFA and reduce human error-related tripping  

• Participate in commissioning, AOH/COH, audits, performance tests, and corrosion surveys  

• Operate RO, HVAC, HCSD, FGD, and auxiliary systems from the Control Room  

• Contribute to safety committees, audits, MOPR, TQM/LSW updates, and statutory compliance
